Glass, Rubber & Plastic Linings

Either AC Spark Testers or DC Pinhole/Holiday detectors can be used to test glass, rubber or plastic linings in tanks or pipes.

The AC Spark Tester provides an inexpensive way of testing and can be used even when the backing is not connected back to the unit or earth; however, the equipment has no output voltage meter or alarm.

The PHD unit has the advantage, as the test voltage can be set and there is an alarm circuit to alert the operator when a fault has been detected.
