Calomel Reference Cell
Description
The Screw-in Calomel Reference Cell is used to ascertain the accuracy of the Silver/Silver Chloride Half Cell in the Bathycorrometer® or the UCP1A/B underwater probe.
It has been designed to be easily used on the Bathycorrometer®. By removing the stainless steel probe and screwing on the Calomel reference cell, readings can be obtained. Cells can also be used for checking the UCP1A or UCP1B probes but an adaptor lead (H16) and a high impedance voltmeter (greater than 10 meg Ohm) would be required.
The electrode is housed in a high resistance PVC body which is sealed for life. The Calomel reference electrode is supplied with full operating instructions and will give a service life of up to one year if looked after. It can easily be stored.
